Globe, Nianctic and The Pokemon Company announce partnership; brings more reason to enjoy Pokemon Go

At a recent event at the Globe Iconic Store in BGC, Globe together with Niantic and The Pokemon Company announce partnership and the benefits of this partnership to Pokemon Go players in the Philippines.

Starting on October 28, Globe retail locations and charging stations will be seen as PokeStops and Gyms in-game. This will help increase the chance of Pokemon Go players to catch more Pokemons and expand their Pokedex. Also, Globe will be working with its partner malls to help spread more Pokemon Go joy to Pokemon trainers and Pokemon fans in the Philippines.

And to make Pokemon Go more accessible to Globe subscribers, Globe also announced that the app will be available through different mobile offers. An example of which is Globe’s leading mobile promo, GoSURF50, it will not only give subscribers the data allocation for their daily data needs, it will also give them access to Pokemon Go as a part of the free apps within the bundle. Globe subscribers can also download the free Pokemon Go promo on the Globe Switch App.

And since the holiday season is fast approaching, the partnership will also pull in the distribution rights to Pokemon merchandise, including digital connectors, cool gadgets and a selection apparel which are perfect as gifts for family and friends.

The first ever Pokemon festival in the country will be held on October 28 and 29.  It’s free and open to the public.
