A lot of sneak peeks and hints of a new ZenFone have floated around social media in the past few weeks. There were sneak peeks of its camera; its new design; and its internal components. All the hype that was made about the new ZenFone was in preparation for the big reveal that was set to drop on the 11th of December.
And today, ASUS unveils its newest ZenFone that is expected to claim the throne from its predecessor and the title as the new battery king – the ZenFone Max Pro M2.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 is built upon the DNA of its predecessor but under a whole new inspiration. It still carries the triple-slot SIM tray and the hefty 5000mAh battery that we loved about its predecessor, The Max Pro M1.  But, that would be the end of the similarity between the two, because the new ZenFone Max Pro M2 is fully reimagined, from internal components to aesthetics.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 leaves the simplistic design of its predecessor to follow and adopt the elegant 3D wave finish of the A.I powered ZenFone 5. To simply put it, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 is heavily influenced by the ZenFone 5 in terms of design and features. Because, just like the ZenFone 5, it now features an A.I camera – a feature which its predecessor lacks.

In terms of durability, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 can go toe to toe with some of the flagships of other brands, all thanks to its Corning Gorilla Glass 6. And as of this writing, the ZenFone Max M2 is the first ZenFone to feature a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and the second smartphone in the world to have it, just next to the ROG Phone.

On the performance side of things, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 would not get left behind, because ASUS has built its new battery king with a Qualcomm SDM660 with an AI engine and partnered it  with an Adreno 512 GPU for a better gaming performance.

Two variants of ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be available, one having a 4GB RAM, and the other with a massive 6GB RAM. The good thing is, both of the variants will feature a 64GB internal storage. So, the only question here is, would you opt for a higher memory or just settle with 4GB of RAM?
Here is the official specifications of the ZenFone Max Pro M2:
  • Chipset: Qualcomm SDM660 with AI Engine
  • Processor: Octa-core
  • Graphics Processor: Adreno 512
  • Memory: 4GB/6GB
  • Internal Storage: 64GB

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 with 6GB memory will carry a price tag of PHP 14,995 and will be available at all ASUS stores and kiosks nationwide on the 15th of December.
