AMD recently introduced its Radeon 5000 series desktop and mobile graphics solutions that are aimed to deliver RDNA performance to the 1080p gaming segment. AMD tends to fortify the Radeon 5000 series with new additions to the family in the form of AMD Radeon Pro 5500M and Radeon Pro 5300M, which will be utilized by Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pros.

While the recently unveiled Radeon 5000 series desktop and mobile GPUs, Radeon RX 5500 and Radeon RX 5500M, are marketed as gaming GPUs, the AMD Radeon Pro 5500M and Radeon Pro 5300M, on the other hand, will be focused on delivering visual fidelity to professionals who prefer video editing and content creation on a Mac. And with the unrivaled color accuracy of the Retina display of Apple, the new MacBook Pro with Radeon Pro 5000 GPUs will definitely boost the creativity of its users.

Furthermore, users will benefit from the features and performance gains of the 7nm process of the Radeon 5000 series GPUs such as increased bandwidth and floating-points calculation. Additionally, just like the first two members of the Radeon 5000 series, the Radeon Pro 5000M GPUs will have up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

This laptop was the first to implement the Radeon RX 5500M, and now Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pros will feature the Radeon Pro 5000M GPUs. Other notebook manufacturers are expected to follow suit this quarter.
